While the physical Boston Cyberarts Gallery interior remains closed due to COVID-19, we are organizing a series of art events and exhibitions to be seen from outside the gallery. "The Window Show" is an ever changing art exhibition in the Boston Cyberarts Gallery windows. Please visit here for special events and updates.

Since 2012, Boston Cyberarts and the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA) have teamed up to create “Art on the Marquee,” an ongoing project to commission public media art for display on the 80-foot-tall multi-screen LED marquee outside the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in South Boston. The largest urban screen in New England, this unique digital canvas is one of the first of its kind in the U.S. to integrate art alongside commercial and informational content as part of the MCCA’s longstanding neighborhood art program.

Since launching the program in 2012, Boston Cyberarts and the MCCA have commissioned over 300 works of art by Massachusetts artists, supporting and cultivating the careers of our local new media art community. As an outdoor public art display visible for a half a mile in many directions, “Art on the Marquee” has continued to thrive in the time of COVID and to provide much needed opportunities to artists and to the public to experience art.

Boston Cyberarts is using a portion of our gallery location to celebrate the incredible artists and works of art that have illuminated over 3,000 square feet of digital display over the past nine years. This amazing work, created specifically for this unique display, is a testament to the immense vision and talent of our local new media community - and to the power of providing opportunity and visibility to these artists. We hope you will enjoy revisiting the first 31 rounds of Art on the Marquee.
